About This Item
London: John Lehmann, 1950. First U.K. edition. Fair to good copy in dark blue cloth, 167 pages, light blue printed dustjacket with publisher's white wraparound band present. Notation on front free endpaper reads: To Reg, Ever, Peter, Nov 93, most likely written by the author to the book's previous owner, author Reginald Phelps, but it can't be proven. Some evidence of past exposure to damp condition with lightened areas surrounding the spine, some darkened areas at the inner margins of a few pages toward the end, foxed endpapers and preliminaries, foxed outer edges, pages otherwise clean, no musty odor. The mylar protected dustjacket has very minor shelfwear, a light bit of shelf soil to the background, no chips or tears.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
