Description:
Mimosa Press Publishers, North Queensland, Australia. First Edition 1987. Softcover (14 x 22 cm), 150 pages. Good condition. Slanted spine. Bumped, rubbed, scuffed/scratched. Pages tanning, foxing. Some soiling & spotting along page top & fore edges (top corners) and on some internal pages (near hinge) and along page edges (approx pages 36 - 48). Some page corners creased. "This was more than a gold hunt, more than an adventure. It became a kind of 'seeing', a kind of 'thinking'. Gold is often in dry, lonely areas. The search is long and frequently monotonous. Beyond the campfire one has to guard the thoughts that appear in one's mind. When the beautiful metal turns up, however, the effort, slog and monotony are immediately forgotten. The fever is on!"
