Small unpaginated photobook-type volume documenting the legendary 24-hour Fluxus happening and the noted artists and writers who participated, including Joseph Beuys, Bazon Brock, Charlotte Moorman, Nam June Paik, Eckart Rahn, Tomas Schmit, and Wolf Vostell, including the first European appearance of Paik's Robot K-567, musical performances by Paik and Moorman of works by John Cage and his pupils, and a Wolf Vostell performance titled "24 erinnerungen an meine '24 STUNDEN' in Wuppertal. Profusely illustrated throughout, primarily from photographs, including two folding leporello-style photographs, and a small bag of flour related to Vostell's performance. 4-1/8 x 3 inches. Original red cardstock wrpps., minimal creasing to lower corner of back cover, overall excellent. Itzehoe, Germany (Hansen & Hansen) 1965. Today, this happening is regarded as the height of the Fluxus movement in Germany and an important turning point for the group. For 24 hours, performances took place in every room of the Gründerzeit villa, headquarters of the Galerie Parnass. Joseph Beuys, Nam June Paik, Wolf Vostell, Bazon Brock, Charlotte Moorman, Eckart Rahn, and Tomas Schmit began their performances at midnight. This happening was to be the last large event held by Galerie Parnass. Shortly thereafter, Rolf Jährling, the gallery owner, ended his gallery career and relocated to Africa.
