Belgrade: Izdanje centralnog odbora Antifašističkog fronta žena Jugoslavije (Shtamparija "Kultura"), [1945]. Quarto (26.5 × 21.3 cm). Original staple-stitched photo-illustrated self-wrappers; [48] pp., largely of black-and-white photographs with captions. Tiny nick to front wrapper; else very good. This profusely illustrated volume, published shortly after the end of the war, highlights the many roles and achievements of women in the Yugoslav Partisan forces. Among others, it highlights the contributions of Dalmatian women during attacks by Italian forces and the activities of the Women's Antifascist Front of Yugoslavia (Antifashistichki front zhena), an anti-fascist feminist mass organization active throughout Yugoslavia. The book highlights individual heroes, such as Vukica Mitrovic and Sonja Marinkovic, who were awarded medals for bravery, but also shows female victims of the fighting and destruction, as well as women caring for orphans, transporting the wounded, mourning the dead, tilling the fields, working in munitions factories, and much else. Many of the images are captioned with quotes by Tito.

Rare; as of December 2020, not in KVK, OCLC.
