John Richardson was a 17th-century Quaker who was known for his strict defense of Quakerism and disapproval of Presbyterian and other Christian sects. In his autobiography, Richardson lays out his views of Quakerism as well as provides a detailed description of his early 18th-century tour of America in which he visited New England, Virginia, and the Carolinas meeting with Quaker preachers including a short stint with William Penn.
