London, Glasgow and New York: George Routledge and Sons, [1889]., [1889].. Very good. - 24mo [4 inches high by 3 inches wide], original full limp black calf binding titled in gilt. All the edges are gilt. There is a tiny chip to the head of the spine & the tail is rubbed. The corners of the rear cover are lightly rubbed. [24] pages, including 23 color illustrations on a black ground by Kate Greenaway. Printed by Edmund Evans. There is a previous owner's gift inscription dated 1889 on the half-title. Very good.

First edition.

The almanacs were advertised as available in calf or French morocco for $1.00 or in hand-painted covers for 75 cents and cloth for 25 cents.

Rare in the calf binding.
