Signed by the author with a presentation inscription on front free endpaper: "For Del Weniger / - in partial thanks for a guided tour of the bayous, which to us was an 'otherworldly' place! / Charles Campbell" Also including an undated typewritten letter from Campbell to Del Weniger acknowledging the receipt of a copy of Weniger's book "An Otherworldly Place," and discussing news of some mutual acquantances from days in the French Quarter of New Orleans, including Richard Hoffman and Jean Bagby. Also discusses the fate of one of Campbells murals in Cleveland dating from trhe Depression. Weniger's book was published in 1973, so the letter probably dates from that time. Jacket has 3/4" closed tear at upper edge of front, with some associated creasing.
