Venetiis [Venice]: apud Hieronymum Scotum, 1549. 31.5 cm x 22 cm in 8s, pp. [6 leaves], 159 leaves printed both sides but numbered consecutively on the rectos only (i.e. 318), woodcut engravings and diagrams throughout. Lacks covers, sewn text block only. remnants of vellum on the spine (possibly scrap used as a spine liner), top and bottom kettle-stitches coming undone, however text block very secure on three cords, intermittent worm holes in lower white space near outer corner; old, small faded ink numerals in margins with the very occasional underline. Probable water damage at one time, as there are very faint tide-lines to the lower fore-edge margins. Otherwise, the text is very good, clean, bright and tight. " Aristotle's chief cosmological treatise: written in 350 BC it contains his astronomical theory and his ideas on the concrete workings of the terrestrial world." - Wikipedia. Translated from Greek into Latin by Augustine Nifo. . Very Good. Folio.
