The book is devoted to the worker's club architecture and design. Many of these examples were designed by a constructivist architecture Konstantin Mel'nikov during his 'golden season'. There are illustrations with the following projects (sketches, plans and building photos): Rusakov Worker's Club, Porcelain Factory Club in Likino-Dulyovo, the Central Club of Railway Workers (by A. Shchusev), Frunze Worker's Club, Burevestnik Factory Club, club for food-industry workers in Minsk (by A. Burov, was destroyed), Svoboda Factory Club (project was partly changed), Kauchuk Factory Club, Palace of Culture in Stalingrad (by I. Golosov, unexecuted), Zuev Worker's Club (by I. Golosov), etc.
OCLC locates five copies of this edition in US: in the Museum of Modern Art, the Getty Library, the Harvard Library, the Stanford Library and the Cambridge University Library.
