Original prize bookplate dated 1863-64 with student name affixed to inside front board; later personalized owner bookplate tipped in. Front hinge cracked at title page; wear and scuffing to boards; a very good copy of an uncommon title. Provides detailed descriptions of exercise apparatus and exercises wtih parallel bars, horizontal bar, suspended bar, suspended ropes and indian club.
