Autograph Musical Quotation Signed by Saint-Saëns, Camille; Marbois, Édouard - 1879

London, 1879. No Binding. Very Good. 3 bars written in pencil on hand drawn stave, signed C. Saint-Saëns, and dated 6 Dec. 1879 in London. This quotation comes on the bottom half of a 9" x 7" sheet, folded down the middle, with the top half occupied by another AMQS by a lesser known composer, Marbois, Édouard. Very beautifully notated 2+ bar phrase, signed in full, and dated a couple months earlier, also in 1879. Comes with a vintage photo print of Saint-Saëns, the set suitable for framing. The quotations and print are in very good condition. Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921) was an influential French composer of the Romantic period, known for both his instrumental and vocal works, namely Danse Macabre and his opera, Samson and Delilah.
