Rebound by Marguerite Duprez Lahey with her "M.J.D. Lahey" stamp on bottom turn-in of front board. Octavo; 313pp. Black leather with gilt lettering to spine, gilt page edges, and black and white marbled endpapers. Covers scuffed down joints with a few small chips along top edge and some bumping to corners. Binding is sound and pages unmarked. Marguerite J. Duprez Lahey (1880-1958) was a renowned as a pioneering woman in the American bookbinding trade, and one of the best binders of her time. She was a friend of Belle da Costa Greene, and did much of her work for the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York.
