Bacon and Shake-speare Parallelisms by Reed, Edwin - 1902

London: Gay and Bird, 1902. Hardcover. xi, 441p., a finepress treatment of this subject, thick hardbound in 10x6.5 inch dove-grey boards with white cloth backstrip and corner-tips. Still distinct and square, the once-handsome spine label is now faded as to its red lettering, and slightly scraped as to black rulings. Item has untrimmed fore- and bottom edges, opened neatly top edge where needed (some left to do, be careful). A remarkably pretty copy for a controversial book, sound but for the fading, and entirely clean and unmarked by ownerships or anything else. Note that the body of the text is not Reed but two more substantial writers; you could do worse.
