This Oscar Wilde Ballad of Reading Gaol was published by Leonard Smithers in London, and had a print run of just 1,000 copies, being printed on May 21, 1898 (Oscar Wilde A Bibliography By Stuart Mason, 1967). Oscar Wilde published The Ballad of Reading Gaol under his pseudonym C.3.3., after his location of his prison cell at Reading Gaol. This sixth edition of Ballad of Reading Gaol has the original mustard coloured binding with cream spine, and measures 6.00 x 9.00 inches (approximately). The binding is in Very Good + condition being complete, with some dust staining, marks, and corner knocks. There are 31 numbered pages, with all blank preliminary pages present, the sixth edition denoted to the reverse of the Title Page as required, with the pages in overall Very Good + condition being incredibly clean and firmly bound into the book, with discolouration to the front and rear endpapers. This is a very attractive, clean and desirable example of the Oscar Wilde The Ballad of Reading Gaol that has such a small print run.

The author graduated Kennett (Missouri) High School in 1973. Copy of newspaper [DDD] article about the KHS reunion on Jan 18, 2004 laid in.
