Title page and each page of text within decorative border. "Contes Illustrés pour Enfants" -- at head of title page. Frédéric Charles Wentzel (1839-1877) and Charles Frédéric Wentzel (1833-1911) took over the lithographic and publishing business begun by their father, Jean Frédéric Wentzel, after his death on 27 July 1869. This title, part of their series Contes Illustrés pour Enfants, is not in WorldCat. The Perrault tale of Bluebeard is accompanied by beautiful and richly colored plates. Extremely scarce. Lacking original wrappers; otherwise, in Near Fine- Condition: lower corners are creased; minimal soiling in margins; plates are striking and bright.
