Orig. publisher's crimson russia, sides elaborately gilt with armorial and floral ornaments, front cover center piece inlaid with blue morocco. Aeg. Near fine. 42 pages in text. Folio, 37 x 27.5 cm. Twelve full-page chromolithographs, plus half-title chromolithograph (Coronation of Queen Elizabeth printed by C. Hullmandel) -- all printed recto only. Plates are clean save for the first three with light marginal toning only, plate 4 (The Summons) lacks one meter at lower corner, affecting neither text or image. ABBEY LIFE 297. TOOLEY 242.
