A heavily damaged book with intense water staining. Pages have some tanning and thumbing. Previous owner's inscription and liquid marks to front pastedown. Prize plate to front endpaper. Heavy creasing and warping to some pages. A few dog-eared corners. Drawings to rear endpaper. Rear hinge extremely cracked with exposed netting; feeling loose. Boards have heavy edge wear, with bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are crushed and frayed. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Intensely water stained, warped and bubbled overall. Boards slightly bowed. Gilt is dulled and worn. Spine heavily creased.
