Three-quarter green cloth & tan cloth, titled in gilt on the front cover and the spine. The top edge is gilt. The covers are heavily rubbed and stained with wear to the corners. xiii, [i] & 645 pages, illustrated with textual illustrations, pictorial initials, and 132 [of 133] photogravures including portraits of eminent sportsmen, several with their horses and their hounds. Lacking the photogravure portrait of Mr. Votelin Heath. The hinges are cracked and the first signature is pulled. One photogravure portrait is foxed and a page is vertically creased. There is some occasional soiling with a few minor creases throughout. The bottom corners of the last several leaves are dampstained with some slight damage to the bottom corners of the last 6 leaves. Good. <p>Number 583 of a limited edition of 1,000 numbered copies.<p>Though the photogravures are portraits of eminent British Sportsmen, many are shown riding their distinguished horses.
