Oxford: Basil Blackwell, 1920. Hardcover. Good. FIRST EDITION. REVIEW COPY. No Dustjacket. Withdrawn from a University Library stamp on front pastedown endpaper and top edge. Previous owner's name, in ink, to preliminary endpaper. Acid transfer to free endpapers. Age-tanned. Light wear to extremities. Black lettering on decorative tan title labels to red cloth spine and front of brown boards. Clear plastic cover. Book is solid and clean. 196 pp. Written in "polyphonic prose", these poems are closely related as the author is said to "owe their existence to the war, for I suppose that, had there been no war, I should never have thought of them," (preface).
