A history of the Canadian People and their institutions by one hundred associates. This special author's edition had a limited run of 875 impressions printed on all-rag watermarked paper, Volumes 1-14 were published in 1913, Volumes 15-22 were published in 1914, The index Volume 23 was published in 1917. This impression is #641. Volume One was printed at the Edinburgh University Press. This beautiful edition is presented in its original full green Morocco leather with all top edges in gilt. Raised bands to the spine with gilt lettering and gilt devices to front boards, maroon end papers, Contents include, Vols. 1-2 New France, Vols. 3-4 British Dominion, Vol. 5 United Canada, Vols. 6-8 Political Development, Vols. 9-10 Industrial Development, Vols. 11-12 Missions Arts & Letters, Vols. 13-14 Atlantic Provinces, Vols. 15-16 Province of Quebec, Vols. 17-18 Province of Ontario, Vols. 19-20 Prairie Provinces, Vols. 21-22 Pacific Provinces, Vol. 23 General Index which features, Manuscript Sources, Bibliography, Chronological Outline and Historical Tables, Also included are the original paper dust jackets in fair condition, quite unusual to have these present, All volumes are in very good plus condition, several of the volumes have minor foxing on a few pages in the margin. Vol. 21 has a slight rub to the leather on the spine in one spot, some very minor shelf wear overall, This is a handsome set of books that would grace any bookshelf.
