Montreal: M. Longmoore & Co., 1866. Pp. 196, [22] - (steamer and railway adverts) printed in blue, with 10 inserted albumen photographs mounted on heavy card stock all by WILLIAM NOTMAN. Original green, blindstamped, fine dotted diaper cloth, gilt spine lettering, yellow coated endpapers. Front free endpaper bears an inscription by John Edward Taylor, the editor: "Annie Maria Allen With her Uncle John's kind love. July 15th 1866", at head of page is the ownership stamp of H.M. Hughson, Rockcliffe Park, Ottawa. Interior is very clean and bright, covers are lightly scuffed and soiled, corners a bit bruised. Overall, a very good plus copy.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus.. Illus. by William Notman. Octavo.
