Harvill, 1960. Hardcover. Good. 1960. 71 pages. No dust jacket. Pink cloth with gilt lettering. Inscription to front endpaper. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean.

Munich: Arbeitsgemeinschaft fur Zeit. VG, NO dj. 1939. 1st. hardcover. 4to . 133pp . NO INTERNATIONAL. Inscription on half title, slight cant to spine, foxing to pp, but not glossy plates. TEXT IN GERMAN. Bit of a propaganda/guide book from just before the start of the war. Not heavily Third Riech, but does have Nazi eagle end papers, tipped B&W photo of a bust of Hitler. Inscription on the half title reads "...we felt at home and Munich has seemed to me ever since (....? deutsche helmat.) Munich seems to me in retrospect to be nearer the ideal city than any other. There was everything in Munich to make a cultivated foreigner happy, cheerful, and content. I have never seen any town that has so much to give to the visitor. I am never homesick in Munich. W. L.
