New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1937. first edition. Hardcover. Good. 9 x11 in. Not paginated. Cloth boards. Lavish B&W and color plates. Condition is GOOD ; the covers colors have faded to a yellow and the edges and spine are very toned. Covers have moderate shelf wear to edges. The spine has a tear, some chops and the tail has a small tear to the rear side. Binding however is tight and good. The endpapers have faded as well and both have small strips where something pasted in was removed. Text is bright, clean and unmarked. Scarce. Art. RGR. ETS.

Yellow Cloth Spine Stamped In Red, Blue Cloth Tips, Decorated Boards And Similar Endpapers. First American Printing, Using Sheets Printed In Great Britain. Book Is Unmarked, Hinges Tight, Light Wear With Fraying At Ends Of Spine And A Few Tiny Frays At Upper And Lower Edges Of Boards. Spine With 1/2" Semicircular Light Stain At Upper Corner Of Front Cover, And A Very Faint Damp Stain Within Parts Of An Area About 2" X 2 1/2" At Bottom Left Of Front Panel. Dj Is Unpriced, Light Wear, A Few 1/2" Closed Tears At Edges, Some Minute Losses, But Spine Panel Has Worn Away And Is Replaced By A Facsimile Made From A Fine Copy.
