Large scrawled ownere's name and date on front free endpaper else fine copy of a book important in the American Arts and Crafts movement. Frontispiece and two plates. Chapters on William Morris, Ashbee and Ruskin, and on the Rookwood Pottery as an example of the ideal workshop, "the association of art and labor". Includes a "Proposal for a Guild and School of Handicraft in Chicago". The following year Triggs founded a William Morris Society in Chicago.. Buckram Spine and Boards. Fine. 8vo.
