A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess - 1963

Stated First American Edition; A Fine book in a Very Good dust jacket. SIGNED card laid in. A handsome copy of this classic work of 20th century literature. Although not the true first edition (the US first was preceded by the UK edition), this edition appears to be much more scarce in the marketplace, particularly with the author's signature included. This volume is in beautiful condition with clean red boards and bright spine lettering, a crisp tight binding, and clean white pages; the only flaw is some very light rubbing to the spine ends and corners. Housed in a clean and crisp very good dust jacket which shows some minor rubbing and creasing to the ends, edges, and corners; fading of the orange background color to the panels; a couple of short, closed tears are also present along the edges. Overall, an outstanding copy of a book very difficult to find in collectible condition, especially with a signature included. Not remaindered, not price clipped ($3.95 intact), and not ex-library; in archival protection and shipped in a sturdy box.
