1st Edition . Soft cover. Good. Fifty oversized sheet music songs from early 20th c Lower East Side era of Jewish immigration (spans 1909-1934). Occasional Yiddish but mainly English lyrics/titles. Good or better condition as some have short closed tears taped. Much social commentary in these lyrics, titles include: I'm Your Wife Not Your Servant Girl, What's the Use to Worry When You're Broke, At the Yiddish Cabaret, Marry a Yiddisher Boy, My Yiddisher Blonde, Bagel and Lox, Der Dish Washer, I'm a Yiddish Cowboy (some loss of paper), My Little Yiddisha Queen, Jake Jake the Yiddisha Ball Player, Whether a Gentile or a Jew, Kosher Kitty Kelly, At the Yiddish Society Ball, Yiddisher Charleston, etc. Some early Irving Berlin. Most of these are obscure, very rare, 80% unavailable. Wonderful for framing or showing as an exhibited collection. Sold as a lot.
