Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Gilt-stamped purple cloth over boards, 239 pages, Personal Index with list of all the soldiers, illustrated with some duotone images of soldiers. Includes a signed address "delivered by George H. Carpenter at a reunion of the members of the 143rd Regiment, N. Y. V. at Liberty, N. Y., October 12th, 1909". Spine and top edge of front board slightly sun faded, smattering of tiny spots on covers. previous owner's name in ink on front flyleaf, tick marks made in margins of Personal Index.
