Moved to the Duchess Theatre, London, . where it was presented by Michael Codron and Lee, Dean, and opened February 5, 1999; opened in Mew York on Broadway at the Royal Theatre, April 11, 2000. Winner of 2000 Tony Award Best Broadway Play; Outer Circle Critics Award: Outstanding Broadway Play; New York Drama Critic's Award: Best Foreign Play. In 1941 German physicist Werner Heisenberg went to Copenhagen to see his Danish counterpart Niels Bohr. Together they had revolutionized atomic science in the 1920s but now they were on opposite sides of a world war. .
