Very Good. 8vo. xxviii + 164pp. Text in French. Preface de Patrick Waldberg [and Notes complementaires by Mathilde de Kerreguelen]. No. 1302 of 3650 copies. Wrongly attributed to Maupassant, this libertine novel published between 1880 and 1885 at Jean Gay and Doucé in Brussels is probably the work of Madame de Mannourry, also known as Marquise de Mannoury d'Ectot, a friend of Verlaine, Charles Cros and Many other poets. From the library of Patrick J. Kearney, with his small name sticker at the bottom of the front pastedown.
