London and Cambridge: Macmillan and Co., 1865., 1865.. Very good. IN A PRIZE LEATHER BINDING FROM HELLMUTH BOYS' COLLEGE, LONDON, ONTARIO - Octavo, 6-1/4 inches high by 4 inches wide. Handsomely bound in a brown calf prize binding with Hellmuth College's crest embossed in gilt within multiple blind ruled frames with formal decorations in blind at the corners. A gilt-titled red leather label and gilt dingbats decorate the panels between blind ruled and decorated raised bands on the spine. All edges are red. The covers are rubbed and scuffed and the head of the spine is worn and chipped. [2] & 257 pages. There is some scattered foxing and soiling to the first and last few pages. Very good.
Bound in a handsome leather presentation binding with the Hellmuth College presentation label mounted on the front pastedown. The book was "Presented by the President and Corporation to Neilson Parker as the Prize for Reading in the II Form" on "June 25th, 1872". The college's crest adorns the top of the label.
The Hellmuth Boys' College of London, Ontario opened in 1865 to close but a little over a decade later in 1877.
