About This Item

Gollancz, 1938. Hardcover. Very Good. A first edition, first printing published by Gollancz in 1938. A very good+ book (small tear to head of spine) with one previous owner's bookplate to the ffep. Some spotting to the page edges. The book has been SIGNED by the Author to an official 'The Book Society' bookplate which has been pasted to the front endpaper as called for. In a very good unclipped wrapper with browning to the spine and some light restoration to the foot of the spine. Some rubbing to edges, but a presentable copy.
