New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1948. Second US Edition/1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. The second US Edition published after the author's Nobel Prize win. In black cloth with gilt to type. Some dings/softening to three corners and a name to ffep inked out, otherwise clean with solid binding. Jacket is unclipped($3.00) with two chips roughly 1 x 3/4 inch to top of front panel and spine with smaller chips to top of front flap crease and adjacent panel top. A couple 1 inch tears to top of rear panel and some shorter tears to top and bottom of front panel, top of rear and bottom of spine. Tanning to spine and abrasion (sticker removal?) to top of front panel. Cover art by Laszlo Matulay.
