The Webster of his day, the name Calepini became synonymous with dictionaries and lexicons for over two hundred years after his death. He joined the Augustinian Order in 1458 and wrote his first Latin dictionary, Cornucopiae. His books were heavily expanded upon, growing in size as they added more and more languages. In addition to Latin, this one features Hebrew, Greek, Gallic, Italian, German, Spanish and English. The cornerstone of any antiquarian reference collection.
