New York: Ace Books # 86180 1st Edition 1973 / Daw Books 1st Editions 1973-1985 ----------22 paperbacks, most of the Dumarest of Terra series. Volumes included in addition to those listed above are: 15 Spectrum of a Forgotten Sun, 16 Haven of Darkness, 17 Prison of Night, 18 Incident on Ath, 19 The Quillian Sector, 20 Web of Sand, 21 Iduna's Universe and 22 The Terra Data. From 1967 to 1985, there were 31 volumes issued in the Dumarest series. The first 7 volumes were published by Ace Books in their Ace Doubles series, and those 7 volumes are NOT included in this offering. The 8th volume was also published by Ace as a single volume, and it IS included here. Volumes 9 through 31 were published by Daw, and, except for 2 missing volumes (29 Angado and 30 Symbol of Terra) are all included here. There were 2 volumes issued much later than the core series (The Return, Child of Earth), and they are NOT included in this offering. To sum up, the 22 volumes included in this offering are 8 to 28, and 31. All 22 volumes are first edition paperback originals, there are no reprints. Most of the Daw volumes are Canadian printings, and on some of them the number string on the copyright pages starts at 2, and that indicates a first Canadian edition, simultaneous with the first US edition, and thus true first editions. There are no US printings with the number string starting at 2. The condition of the books ranges from VG to unread fine, with most being VG+.. First Edition. Mass Market Paperback. Very Good+.
