Hardcover book in acceptable condition. Bumping, rubbing, and small tears on the top, spine, edges, corners. Outer edges have browning, yellowing, stains. foxing. The rear hinge is weak, with offsetting to the endpapers. Deckled edges. Guttering in between pages 24-25, 40-41 and 56-57. The glue on the spine has come apart from the binding but pages are still intact and no loose pages. Front, back boards do have rubbing and some stains (Image of actual book). Will send extra pictures upon request. Pages 54-59 has a stain in upper corners but do not interfer with reading material. A true crime memoir focused on how Hill became involved in petty crime as a child, and committed more serious offenses as an adult. Hill also details his drug addiction, and life in an opium den. The memoir charts Hill's rises and falls into and out of pickpocketing, burglary, shoplifting, drug abuse, and time in prison, until his final redemption. Al Hill is remembered as an actor, who had numerous bit parts in several different films, including W.C. Fields' The Bank Dick. Forward by James Tully. 1931. FC1
