Portland ME, 1838 Bound in full calf with black morocco spine label, gilt titles, 474 pp. This edition "abridged and designed as a text book for academies and high schools". Binding is attractive calf but with some cracking to hinges and tide line to back cover. Title page is foxed and sporadic foxing throughout, otherwise clean, bright and tight.
