Various regiments of Ross' Brigade were engaged early in the war in the Indian Territory. The participated in battle of Pea Ridge, crossed the Mississippi to fight at Iuka and Corinth, then fought in the Atlantic Campaign, and the Tennessee Campaign. Lt. Griscom dairy comprises the text of the book and his diary was comprehensive and revealing. previous owners name plate pasted inside. Maps 255 pp.
