About This Item

Albany: James B. Lyon, Printer, 1894. Stapled Binding. Good. 0x0x0. Some loss to wrapper edges. 1894 Stapled Binding. 61 pp. Original wrappers. A report to the state engineer and surveyor (Campbell W. Adams) regarding the proposed construction of a storage dam, with commentary on local availability of necessary materials, laying out the tests undertaken, and providing estimates of costs for construction and maintenance. Includes three photographs of concrete samples and fourteen fold-out charts. It is interesting to note that the Mount Morris Dam was not constructed until 1952. A serious flood occurred in 1913, which may have been prevented if the dam described in the report had been constructed earlier. Scarce - only 3 copies located in OCLC, at Geneseo, RPL and Texas Tech University.
