Good. - Small quarto [9-3/4 inches high by 7-1/4 inches wide], softcover bound in cream self-wrappers with a decorative panel in red on the front cover sheet. The cover is darkened around the edges & there are stains & some light soiling to both cover sheets. Front cover sheet/title page & [11] pages, including 4 pages of black-and-white illustrations. Good.

A publisher's introductory note states: "This is an introduction to two exhibitions to be held in 1951 at Goldsmith's Hall, Foster Lane, Cheapside, London, E.C. / May 1- June 16: Exhibition of the Historic Plate of the City of London. / July 2-Aug. 31: Exhibition of British silverwork, including ceremonial plate, by contemporary craftsmen." The occasion of the exhibitions was the Festival of Britain. The text is signed "D, N,"

Laid in are a Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths compliments slip and a flier announcing the two exhibitions.
