Illustrated with engravings of Hogarth's works. the dust jacket has a tear at the top left and bottom left of the spine, and associated rubbing, with short splits at the fold over corners. There is a small stain on the top edge of the textblock which does not penetrate to any depth. No other damage to detail. "Though social commentator through his work, it is as an artist he should be viewed. Interested in every phase of this many sided man, seeing Hogarth from the artist's vantage point, Erick Berry is the one to do this biography." Dustjacket blurb Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
