This copy belonged to the personal collection of Henry O. Houghton, JR. of Little Brown publishing company. The signature has been examined by third party forensic handwriing examiner authentication & grading services of Frank P. Garo of Coopersburg, PA who has issued a certificate COA from this service. Signature also has a Letter of Evaluation from the Academy of Manuscript and Autograph located in Woodville, Texas stating that this item has been examined and it is there professional opinion that the signature is genuine. Both letters/COA's are included with the book along with the business card of Henry O. Houghton Jr.. The book and the jacket are both in FINE condition showing only very light shelf wear to either the book or the jacket. There is no chipping to the jacket and it is complete with a price of $4.00 attached. The copyrigt page has "First Edition" printed on the page and is a true 1st printing.
