CRAWFORD, MEL. (AUTRY,GENE). GENE AUTRY ART. This is a marvelous piece of original artwork for two pages that appear in the Little Godlen Book Gene Autry by Steffi Fletcher published in 1955. The art appears on the title page and on the final page and is done by MEL CRAWFORD. The two images are on one large piece of art board measuring 22 " wide x 15" high. On the left is Gene Autry sitting on a bench and playing the guitar. This image is 4 1/2 x 7". The other image has Gene leading a boy on his horse with a captured "varmint". This image measures 7 1/2 x 9". Both images are reduced in the book. Sold with a rubbed first edition of the book.
