Ulm: Gorlin, August Vindelicorum, 1655. Published 1655. First volume in a massive genealogical work that eventually consisted of four volumes. This volume contains the genealogies of some of the most famous rulers and nobility of Germany and of the Holy Roman Empire, shown in graphic form with dozens of woodcut coats of arms. Period binding in full calf stamped with a profusion of gilt fleur-de-lis, gilt stamped armorial seals on front and rear covers showing three lilies in a sheild surrounded by thorns, the words Lilium Inter Spinas above, Collegium Grassinaeum below, copper engraved title, (10), 151, 64, 97, 282 (36) pages. Front cover detached, covers and spine badly chipped and worn, text block sound with two leaves detached and worn about the edges but present, numerous dampstains, very minor worming to the index, names on preliminary blank and title page. A quite rough but complete copy of this volume.. Hard Cover. Poor. Folio - 33 cm Tall.
