After collecting the 12 needed lids required to trade for one photo, most children decided it was better to keep all 12 lids rather than trade them for one photo therefore increasing the high collectibility and scarceness of the premiums. A series of 24 different stars were published for each year along with a special cover. Dale Evans, who was born with the name Francis Smith, was born in 1912 and began her career as a nightclub singer, then later singing on radio. She then moved to Hollywood and worked for Republic Pictures, where she made movies with Roy Rogers and became known as "The Queen of the West".
