Harper & Brothers. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1898. First. Hardcover. Personal copy of illustrator A. B. Frost. Signed on front free-endpaper: "A. B. Frost." Brightly-colored pictorial boards. Unpaginated, 112pp. Edgewear to extremities, whitening of edges and significant corner wear. One small edgecrease to page defining "K"." Binding is tight and remaining pages are unmarked. Frost's b/w illustrations of Sutphen's humorous golf definitions. Originally housed in customized badly-worn cardboard clamshell. Replaced by new custom-made dark green clamshell, marbled covers, leather spine. Original gilt spine title with gilt notation reading, "A. B. Frost copy" included with order.
