Blue grey cloths shows some soiling and light discoloration, stain to front exterior gutter. Corners gently bumped, spine ends bumped, minor fraying to cloth at spine ends. Previous owner name (Possibly Rev. Wilbur L. Caswell, Episcopal Minister serving in the state of New York) on front free endpaper. States First Printing. Title page date 1943. .

Marbling to edge of book block. Inscribed on title page in ink. Pages and text nicely preserved from the period. No worming evident. Book block sound. Great candidate for restoration.

In Very Good Condition: minor loss from spine label and from gilt decoration at tail of spine; small stain at upper edge of frontispiece and title page; otherwise, clean and tight.
