Massachusetts: Fleetwood Recording Company, 1975. First Pressing. Vinyl. Long Play. 33 1/3 Illustrated gatefold sleeve. Some separation of sleeve. Minor sunning to edges. Record Fine. Overall Very Good. Incredible recorded archive of, interviews, action highlights and stories of some of the greatest Black American athletes of all time. Includes interviews with Negro League baseball players including "Cool Papa" Bell's acceptance speech at the Baseball Hall of Fame, Satchel Paige explaining "jangling his juices" and Jackie Robinson speaking about being the first black Black player in the Major leagues. Some of the athletic highlights are the reactions to a Jim Brown touchdown, Wilma Rudolph winning a track meet and Hank Aaron's 715th home run. This album boasts 90 minutes of incredible moments in Black American history. We could not locate another copy on LP, perhaps because a fire in 1975 destroyed all the masters recordings of the Fleetwood Recording Company.
