Teal, ribbed cloth with illustration stamped in green, and red stamped lettering to cover and spine, plus six drawings (the cover makes seven) and one map. In a beige dust jacket duplicating the cover. Cover and jacket design by Thoreau MacDonald. Foxing to the text-block edges, though interior clean and crisp. Spine very lightly faded, else nice square copy in a dust soiled dust jacket, darkened at the spine and flap folds, chips to head of spine and tips. Overall, very good. Edison B4.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. Octavo.

Gray pictorial publisher’s cloth, cover art in green by MacDonald (very minor spotting at spine, and rear upper fore-edge back cover), w/ d.j. cover art by MacDonald (very slight chip upper fore-edge front cover), VG/NF copy, from the library of Charles Gray Martin, Jr. (1909-1951), Iowa architect & building designer, and World War II veteran. First edition of these insightful accounts of canoeing and camping through the Georgian Bay wilderness in Canada, with the charming woodcut illustrations of MacDonald, inspired by Rockwell Kent.
