Tall octavo. 203, xviii (index) pp. Pale blue textured cloth stamped in blind with spine gilt. A fine copy in fine dust jacket with a couple of tiny nicks and tears, and "Woman's Institute" penciled on the cover panel in a contemporary hand. A beautiful copy, housed in the original shipping box and extremely uncommon thus (box is worn with a couple of spits and a bit of loss on the cover). Picken was the author of over 90 books and was the first woman to be named a trustee of the Fashion Institute of Technology. Issued as Women's Institute Library of Dressmaking, Vol. 2.
