[1958] An Interim Plan proposed in the late 1950s which, "...here presented as a basis for community discussion and decision, proposes a solution for the obsolete structure at the Heart of Metropolitan Hartford--but it is the rebuilding of this structure that is the end." The report proposes steps for the creation of a new Downtown by 1980---when things will really start going to hell. With land use and traffic plans, efforts to integrate new highways and create mass transportation, malls, civic centers, and, of course, The Parking. First edition. 28 cm; 53 pp.; illustrated from photographs, plans, maps, and drawings. Light wear and creasing to covers; else a good copy or better in wire-bound card covers. .
